John Cena who has recently returned to WWE says there have been some “crazy” decisions in the company lately but he continues to be impressed by WWE Chairman, Vince McMahon.
Cena made his hotly-anticipated return to WWE after more than a year away at the end of the Money In The Bank pay-per-view in July. The sixteen-time champion of the world wasted no time in getting in the face of reigning WWE Universal Champion, Roman Reigns. Since then Cena usurped Finn Balor during a contract signing for a match with Reigns on SmackDown meaning that Cena will face The Tribal Chief for his chance to break his tie with Ric Flair for most recognised world title reigns at SummerSlam.
Speaking on ESPN’s First Take while dressed as his Peacemaker character from Marvel’s The Suicide Squad movie, John Cena was asked by former WWE broadcaster Charly Caruso who has impressed him the most since making his return to WWE. For Cena, there is only ever one answer to that question:
“I always say the same thing; Vince McMahon. He’s so unpredictable. He keeps everybody in suspense. There’s been a lot of crazy decisions lately, I don’t know what the future of WWE will hold, but it’s certainly exciting times. I’m always impressed, especially returning, by his work ethic, his commitment, by his passion. I have to say Vince.”
Cena did not elaborate on the “crazy decisions” but the company has released a number of talents in recent months, with Bray Wyatt perhaps being the most surprising departure, being released from his WWE contract on the 31st of July.
John Cena was also wearing his Peacemaker garb at the premiere of his new film when he caught up with his former nemesis and current AEW star and TNT Champion, Miro.
