John Cena Is Stealing Ideas From WWE Legend For His Heel Run

John Cena’s current heel run is based on stolen ideas from a WWE veteran.

On the recent episode of Stephanie’s Places featuring John Cena, the topic of his current heel turn was brought up. Stephanie McMahon told the 17-time World Champion that she loved his current persona and wanted him to turn heel for a long time.

Cena credited the fact that he had a lot of great people to learn from, and Stephanie was on that list, and in a surprising revelation, he admitted to stealing ideas from her for his heel character. He said:

“Can I just say I had some really good people to learn from, and you are in a very short list of names that falls into [it], I flat out steal a lot from you so thanks for helping me through this”

On hearing this, McMahon told Cena that he gave her too much credit, to which he replied, “You never know how you affect people.

The two WWE legends also spoke about his mindset during the retirement run, Cena said that he was grateful for the career he has had and mentioned that when people ask him what he wants his legacy to be, he states that he really doesn’t care about it and is rather thankful to have a chance to be the man in the arena.

As many know, Cena was on the verge of being cut early into his main roster run, and it was a chance discovery by Stephanie hearing him rap on WWE’s tour bus that led to the creation of the Dr. Of Thuganomics character.
