With WWE about to head to the UK for the first stadium show there for over thirty years, John Cena has confirmed his status for the event.
WWE will present Clash At The Castle on September 3rd live from the Principality Stadium in Cardiff, Wales. In the presumed main event of the show, Drew McIntyre will challenge Roman Reigns for the Unified WWE Universal Championship. Elsewhere Liv Morgan will defend her SmackDown Women’s Championship against Shayna Baszler and despite her suspension, reports have suggested Ronda Rousey should be appearing on the show.
While WWE often calls on its big guns for stadium shows both home and abroad, many fans have wondered if John Cena has been on the radar for the show.
Cena himself addressed his status for Clash At The Castle at a Q&A session at Wales Comic Con and didn’t get the best reception from the audience as he said:
“I’ve been coming to Cardiff to fight for 15-plus years, and every time, it’s exciting and amazing. I’m not going to be at Clash.”
So there we have it. One WWE icon who will be in town during the build-up to Clash At The Castle is The Undertaker who is bringing his one-man show to the Welsh capital.
