John Cena Set For WWE Crown Jewel

John Cena

John Cena is now being advertised for WWE Crown Jewel.

The event is set to take place on November 4th during Saudi Arabia’s Riyadh Season — a state-sponsored entertainment festival. Interestingly in a new promotional video for the celebrations, Crown Jewel is mentioned, as well as “the participation of John Cena.”

Despite this, there’s been no official comment from WWE, and the company has yet to confirm him for the event. The star is scheduled to appear on SmackDown throughout October, but it was thought his run would have been wrapped up by the time Crown Jewel rolled around.

Cena’s return — much like that of The Rock — has largely been made possible by the Hollywood writers and actors strike which has brought film and television making to almost a complete standstill.

During John Cena’s most recent appearance on SmackDown, he clashed with Jimmy Uso and The Bloodline, before teaming with AJ Styles to defeat Jimmy and Solo Sikoa after the show went off the air.

John Cena To Join Roman Reigns At WWE Crown Jewel

The news comes after it was reported that Roman Reigns will be wrestling at the event. Again, there has been no official confirmation that he’ll be in action.

Reigns hasn’t wrestled since SummerSlam, missing Payback on September 2nd, and he’s not scheduled to appear at Fastlane on October 7th.

Surprisingly, Reigns was also absent from the initial posters and advertising for the 2024 Royal Rumble. However, there’s every chance he’s added to the lineup in the coming months.
