John Cena Reveals Why He Isn’t Sticking Around In The WWE

John Cena has been a mainstay of WWE TV for the past month, but it might not last for much longer.

In recent weeks, Cena has been making regular appearances on SmackDown and got in the ring with the likes of Dominik Mysterio and Montez Ford in dark matches. Onscreen, he has continued his rivalry with The Bloodline, most recently teaming with LA Knight at Fastlane to take on Solo Sikoa and Jimmy Uso.

Cena and Knight defeated their opponents with the 16-time World Champion hitting a Five Knuckle Shuffle which Knight followed up with Blunt Force Trauma. This brought an end to a five-year losing streak for John Cena and continued Knight’s rise in the company.

How long will John Cena stay in WWE?

During the post-Fastlane press conference, Cena spoke about how long his current run in WWE will last, admitting that it all comes down to the ongoing SAG-AFTRA strike.

Cena says he was in the middle of a project when the strike began, and when it ends, he will have to leave wrestling and head back to Hollywood to resume work there.

“They do. I’ve made it clear that you can’t do both because of the liability insurance. If I were to try and juggle both, that’s very selfish because I would put a whole lot of people in the movie business out of work if something were to happen to me.

“Yes, I stopped a project in the middle of it — I can’t even talk about the project because of the strike, but we’re in the middle of it. As soon as we get back to work, we go back to work. I don’t control any of that.

“I’m crossing my fingers and I hope we can find a resolve everyone is happy with. For right now, I feel this is the best way I can help. To come back home to my family.”
