Former WWE Champion Admits Infamous John Cena Creative Was

John Cena has named this WWE legend as one of the greatest wrestlers.

On January 6th, at the Raw on Netflix premiere, John Cena made his much-awaited return and kicked off his retirement tour. Teasing his 17th World title run later this year, Cena officially declared himself for the 2025 Royal Rumble.

Hyping himself up for his final year in wrestling, Cena has been extremely active with the promotion’s social media team as well. Speaking on WWE Vault’s YouTube channel. Addressing his 2007 feud against Shawn Michaels from 2007, Cena opened up on one of their 55-minute match on 23rd April in London.

“I remember it being a ton of fun.The UK crowd is always so live and interactive. When you are lucky enough to be in there with Shawn Michaels, you just have to do what you’re supposed to do but he takes care of everything else … all the loose ends.”

The 16-time World Champion further heaped praises on HBK, and commented,

“Shawn is such a good storyteller. Wins, losses, it’s a chance to be on the stage. I got to soak up the wisdom of one of the greatest in-ring performers for an hour. It was really something.”

Despite losing the match, Cena has fond memories of it. Six days later, he successfully retained his World Heavyweight Championship against Edge, Randy Orton, and Michaels.

With his retirement officially on the way, John Cena is expected to be involved in a huge WrestleMania 41 match. According to Mike Johnson of PWInsider, Cena looks set to face Cody Rhodes in Las Vegas.
