John Cena Makes A Very Honest Statement On Batista Amid WWE Retirement Tour

John Cena and Batista

John Cena recently shared his heartfelt opinion about former WWE rival Batista.

The 17-time World Champion, who is on his retirement tour, was featured in a video on Complex’s YouTube Channel along with his fellow ‘Heads of State’ cast member, Idris Elba.

The video had the two asking each other questions, wherein Elba asked Cena who, according to him, was the “GOAT wrestler turned actor.”

The Chain Gang Leader responded with names such as Roddy Piper and Hulk Hogan, but said he would have to tip his hat to Batista.

The Cenation Leader praised his storied rival’s range of acting and the way he has transformed his body for roles over the years. He said:

“I do enjoy No Holds Barred and They Live, so Roddy Piper, maybe, Hulk Hogan. I’m going to give respect where respect is earned. Dave Bautista. The dude has range and is like now has like transformed his whole body. So he’s the stuff he’s about to do. Look out for Dave Bautista. The stuff he’s already done is incredible. But as far as like wrestler turned actor with like the range, you know me, I’m just d*ck change. That’s it. Dave’s got range.”

Batista deserves his accolades. The Animal has shown that he has serious acting chops by playing a variety of characters and has been a part of some of the biggest movie franchises as well.

He, like John Cena, is one of the few wrestlers who has made a successful transition into an acting career.

Batista Claims WWE Career Is A “Harder Grind” Than Acting

In a recent interview, the former WWE Heavyweight Champion was asked which of his two careers was harder in terms of grinding to find success.

The Animal responded that, compared to his pro wrestling career, his acting career seemed like a cakewalk. The 56-year-old star attributed his work ethic and drive as the main reasons that helped him develop this perspective.
