John Cena is excited to make his NXT debut.
For the first time ever, Cena will make the trip to Tuesday night to be in the corner of Carmelo Hayes as the former NXT Champion battles Bron Breakker, who will have Paul Heyman providing his advocating services.
Taking to social media to react to Melo’s announcement, Cena responded with the signature NXT chant and mentioned how fans will be able to see him live on October 10th.
N-X-T! N-X-T! N-X-T! Thank you to @Carmelo_WWE
for the opportunity to be there LIVE on @WWENXT
on what will be a CANNOT MISS show on Tuesday! C U Then!!! #WWENXT
Also announced for the show is Cody Rhodes, who has been advertised to be making a major announcement on NXT. Cena and Rhodes are just two of the main roster stars making a one-off appearance on the third brand in what could be the best-ever rating for the show. With the company looking to make the upcoming episode a success, it is expected that the show will be “heavily promoted” the previous day.
There are two theories as to why NXT has loaded up the show with big names. The first reason is that the media rights for the show are due to be renewed so the company are looking to push ratings as high as possible to secure a more lucrative deal. The second theory is that October 10th will also see AEW Dynamite broadcast that day and NXT have loaded their card to make sure viewers remain on the USA Network.
It’s been reported that The Undertaker could even make an appearance.
John Cena Believes The Time Is Now In WWE
The 16-time World Champion has been scheduled to appear on SmackDown and Premium Live Events throughout September and October, which has been one of his longer runs in recent years. While appearing on an episode of The Bump to promote Fastlane, John Cena stated that there has never been a better time for WWE than right now.
In recent news, Tony Khan has made a major title match announcement for the AEW Dynamite Buy-In on Tuesday.
