With the 2023 Royal Rumble only a few hours away, fans are excited over speculation on which wrestlers will make surprise appearances.
Rumors are swirling over these possibilities, especially since only about 2/3 of the entrants in the Men’s Rumble match have been confirmed.
And one face that many fans want to see return is John Cena. But will he actually make an appearance? It turns out that his father may have an answer.
John Cena’s father strongly suggests Cena will be at the Royal Rumble
Mr. Cena. considers himself the first ‘reverse-second-generation’ superstar’, meaning that he’s the first notable wrestling personality to enter the wrestling business after his offspring, instead of the child following the parent.
Mr. Cena spoke to SportsKeeda and mentioned how he follows WWE’s product closely. And while he didn’t state explicitly ‘YES’ or ‘NO’ with definitive confidence on whether John Cena (Jr.) will appear at the Royal Rumble, he strongly implied that he would.
“I would agree with that, and you know why? I follow the product here and there, and I think it’s heading in the right direction.
Stories are beginning to make an awful lot of sense, and I think this is the beginning and I agree with you that yes, we might see him at the Royal Rumble, and I feel pretty great about WrestleMania.”
The dominant rumor right now is that should Cena return for WrestleMania 39, he would come in to face Austin Theory. Theory is one of nineteen men already confirmed for the Men’s Rumble match, with the others being as follows:
Kofi Kingston, Santos Escobar, Ricochet, Seth “Freakin” Rollins, Bobby Lashley, Baron Corbin, Rey Mysterio, GUNTHER, Cody Rhodes, Omos, Drew McIntyre, Sheamus, Braun Strowman, Karrion Kross, Dominik Mysterio, Xavier Woods, The Miz, and Brock Lesnar.
