A cryptic social media post by John Cena after abandoning his heel character broke the internet and got several interesting reactions from the WWE Universe.
John Cena shocked the world at Elimination Chamber earlier this year by turning heel for the first time in almost two decades and aligned with The Rock ahead of WrestleMania 41 against Cody Rhodes. During The Show of Shows, The Cenation Leader became the Undisputed WWE Champion by defeating The American Nightmare with some help from popular musician and The Final Boss’ ally, Travis Scott.
Meanwhile, The Final Boss’ absence angered many fans as he played a key role in Cena’s character change, but has been absent for the rest of the latter’s heel run. As a result, on this week’s SmackDown ahead of SummerSlam, John Cena stated that he was left alone by those he thought were his partners, and essentially turned babyface again after also promising to give Cody Rhodes a fair fight this weekend.
After the massive declaration on Friday Night SmackDown, John Cena took to Instagram to commemorate the moment by posting a photo of a baby, possibly solidifying that he had indeed turned ‘babyface’ again after five months of playing the bad guy.

Fans Had Varying Reactions To John Cena Turning Babyface Again Ahead Of WWE SummerSlam
After the Undisputed WWE Champion shared his Instagram post, the majority of the fans were happy to welcome back his previous character and expressed excitement for him becoming a babyface again.
However, there were still some fans who were grateful to see him play a heel during his retirement run, with one of them even noting that they hoped The Rock wouldn’t somehow ruin it.
You can check out some of the fan reactions below:
Man, thank you for this last run. Sunday is going to be epic – let’s just hope those pesky endangered ‘Bald Ego’s’ don’t mess this up.”
“cena is back but who can forget his heel run in wwe it was just woow.”
“heel Cena was exciting & im so glad he got to live that out but DAMN was I waiting for this welcome back @johncena.”
Meanwhile, some fans don’t trust what’s going on and predicted that The Last Real Champion’s speech and promo was all just a ploy, with some even predicting that it might lead to a Cody Rhodes heel turn instead:
This must be a trick right?”
“Y’all getting worked so bad.”
“I get it. DONT TRUST BABIES. They ain’t s**t. Cena hits Cody in the nu*s again this weekend.”
“If that’s true then it was the lamest face turn ever. Although I still believe it’s some kind of heel work.”
“Cena is a Baby face again. All is right with the world. Cody Heel turn Sunday?”
“I’ve got a feeling he’s gonna turn baby face and Cody turns heel.”
It will be interesting to see who will walk out on the second night of SummerSlam as the Undisputed WWE Champion when John Cena and Cody Rhodes collide one more time.
