John Cena remains cryptic after his shocking actions at WWE Elimination Chamber.
The impossible became reality at WWE Elimination Chamber when John Cena turned heel in the closing moments of the show. The long-time WWE hero allied with The Rock after Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes rejected The Final Boss’ offer to turn corporate.
It seemed we’d get an explanation during the Premium Live Event’s post-show press conference where Cena was advertised to speak to the media. However, the 16-time world champion instead sat down for the conference, did a quite literal mic drop and left without a word.
In the hours following the show, however, Cena has finally broken his silence – though perhaps not in the way you’d expect. Taking to his Instagram page, Cena posted a photo of the official Grand Theft Auto VI poster without a caption or any further context.
While the exact meaning behind his post is unknown, some have taken it as him acknowledging a viral meme following his heel turn. Many fans joked online that ‘John Cena turned heel before GTA 6’, poking fun at the 11-year wait for the next entry in the Grand Theft Auto series.
When Will John Cena Be Returning To WWE TV?
During his appearance at the post-show press conference, The Rock noted that John Cena flew in from a shoot in Budapest for Elimination Chamber and was immediately flying out for another. While it seems we won’t get an explanation from him for now, fans won’t have to wait long for it.
His next WWE appearance will be in just over three weeks on the March 17th edition of Raw in Brussels, Belgium. Cena will also be appearing on the subsequent European Raw tapings on March 24th in Glasgow, Scotland and March 31st in London, England.
