John Cena Advertised For September Madison Square Garden Show

John Cena Summer Of Cena

John Cena may have returned after a prolonged absence to WWE at Money In The Bank but a new advertisement suggests Cena might be sticking around for a while.

The sixteen-time champion of the world made his hotly anticipated comeback to WWE at Money In The Bank when he shocked WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns by confronting him in the ring. Reigns had just survived a gruelling bout with Edge where he retained his title thanks to some help from his former Shield brother, Seth Rollins.

John Cena opened up the next episode of Raw where he ran down Reigns once again, saying he would see him on Friday Night SmackDown. On the 26th of July, Cena competed in his second WWE match since WrestleMania 36 when he lost to The Fiend in a Firefly Funhouse match. After Raw went off the air, the fans at the show live in Kansas City were treated to Cena teaming with Riddle to defeat former RETRIBUTION pair Mace and T-BAR.

Cena had long been rumoured to be returning to WWE to face Roman Reigns in the main event of SummerSlam. Reports suggest that the company was pulling out all the stops as they look to fill a stadium for the first time in over eighteen months as they welcome back fans following the pandemic.

Now WWE has announced that Cena will be around past The Biggest Party Of The Summer as he has been advertised for the Friday, September 10th Supershow that will see Raw stars join their SmackDown counterparts in the WWE’s spiritual home of Madison Square Garden.

Roman Reigns, WWE SmackDown Women’s Champion Bianca Belair, Edge, Seth Rollins, and Mr. Money In The Bank Big E are among the other names advertised to be in attendance as WWE heads home to New York City.
