John Cena Addresses Possibility Of UK Dates Being On Retirement Tour & London Potentially Hosting WrestleMania

John Cena has discussed the chances of UK dates being on the WWE retirement tour and his thoughts on the much-rumoured future WrestleMania being hosted in London.

With the 16-time World Champion taking part in a year-long retirement tour in 2025 and WWE hosting shows in more international markets than ever before, including a major UK show for the past 3 years, UK fans are hopeful that they will get to see Cena compete live one last time.

Speaking with TalkSport, Cena stated that much like the fans in Canada the UK fans have always been behind him and he hopes that there will be a UK stop on the upcoming tour:

“I really hope so. As you know, I’m retiring from in-ring performing next year and we’ll start in January and we’ll do our last match in December 2025. I really hope there are some UK dates involved in that farewell. I meant what I said, and I said the same thing in Canada, the UK and Canada have been such strong supporters of the WWE, through thick and thin.”

John Cena Comments On Potential UK WrestleMania

Towards the end of July, UK fans were pleasantly surprised when Triple H and Nick Khan met with Mayor of London Sadiq Khan to further fuel speculation that WrestleMania in London could actually happen. When asked about this, Cena stated that while he won’t be able to compete on the show, he will be there if it happens:

“I campaigned for WrestleMania to be located in London because I think London has absolutely earned the right to host the Grandest Stage of Them All. Nick Khan and Triple H were just there talking to the mayor of London. Hopefully, I don’t know, things work out and maybe WrestleMania in London in the future. It’s not going to happen in 2025, so unfortunately, I won’t have a match there, but if it does, I will absolutely be there as a fan.”

While John Cena’s opponent for the final match is still to be confirmed, one WWE star has called out the Hollywood star yet again.

Speaking in a new interview, John Cena addressed the likelihood of a post-match retirement for a big money offer.

H/t to Fightful.
