John Cena Addresses Possibility Of International Appearances Being Part Of WWE Retirement Tour

John Cena is remaining optimistic that his WWE retirement tour will not consist exclusively of dates in North America.

The 16-time World Champion made a surprise appearance in Toronto after being introduced by Trish Stratus and delivered the announcement that he would be retiring in 2025 and that WrestleMania 41 would be the last time that he would be performing on The Grandest Stage.

With many presuming that the final match would take place in Las Vegas, John Cena later appeared at the Money in the Bank press conference and clarified his schedule, stating that he was aiming for a full calendar year and the final match would be in December 2025. After that, there would be no more appearances that involved any form of physicality.

With Cena being one of the biggest stars in wrestling history and having millions of fans worldwide, many are hoping that the Hollywood star will be a part of the many international tours and events that the company will host next year, continuing the trend of hosting events around the world as part of its global expansion.

Responding to a fan on social media who is based in Australia, Cena stated that there would be many events taking place around the world and remained optimistic that Australia would be a part of it:

Grateful beyond words…2025 will be full of incredible events around the world. Very much hoping Australia is on the list!

WWE last hosted an event in Australia back in February with Elimination Chamber. At the time of writing, no further events for the country have been announced.

Former Rival Wants John Cena Match

With the news breaking that Cena only has a limited number of matches left inside the squared circle, many stars will be clamouring to face off against the WWE Legend one final time. Also at the press conference, one of John Cena’s greatest rivals issued a challenge to the Hollywood star.

In a trailer for an upcoming documentary, John Cena paid a huge compliment to a former rival.
