Bad Boy Joey Janela has spoken of his regret for engaging in a drunken fight with nZo at a Blink 182 concert.

Appearing on ‘Insight with Chris Van Vliet’, Janela spoke of how he regretted the incident and how it contributed in souring some of the AEW roster towards him.

The incident took place at PNC Bank Arts Center, an outdoor concert and events venue, in the Home State of both Joey Janela and nZo, New Jersey.

“I see some guy with a beard walk by dressed in what looks like a potato sack. I go ‘Oh sh*t it’s Enzo.’ So I start punching him in the arm and he didn’t take too kindly to that. The whole thing got caught on video and I look like the biggest f*cking idiot ever.”

The fight, which spilled over from a spat on Twitter, was recorded by bemused onlookers which, Janela conceded, made him look like “the biggest f*cking idiot ever.”

Joey Janela told Van Vliet, that following the video being released, some AEW talent thought he didn’t deserve his Fyter Fest main event spot against Jon Moxley.

He named Christopher Daniels and Frankie Kazarian, two senior voices in the AEW locker room, who were unhappy with how Janela had represented the upstart company.

“It’s like ‘Tony, this is the guy you put in the main event with Moxley? This f*cking idiot!’ Some of the guys were like ‘F*ck this guy, he makes us look bad.’ There’s guys who are p*ss drunk at Blink 182 concerts and I look like the biggest f*cking idiot.”

Janela and nZo have since settled their issues. Joey Janela’s AEW contract was not renewed when it expired on May 1st, 2022.

The star recently found himself courting controversy yet again after he set his foot on fire before delivering a Superkick to Drew Parker during a GCW event.
