Where Does Cody Rhodes Want To See WWE's Next European PLE?

Cody Rhodes in the ring on WWE SmackDown holding the Undisputed WWE Championship

Cody Rhodes has named the European country where he wants to see WWE host a Premium Live Event next!

Speaking on Gabby AF, Rhodes proclaimed that he wants to see WWE bring a Premium Live Event to Italy as he was blown away by the response of the crowd at a recent live event. He even put their reactions on par with those at WWE Backlash France and Clash At The Castle Scotland.

“I really hope that Italy gets a WWE….we did a show in Italy, a live event. They were, if people saw Scotland, Scotland was outrageous. If people saw France, France was outrageous. I wish people got to see what Italy was like.

I didn’t know what we were walking into. I didn’t even know if we were on TV in Italy. They would be a great place for a PLE. I make no decisions and can’t get anything done, but that was a really cool experience.”

Are Plans For NXT TV To Go On The Road Permanent?

Wide shot of an NXT event at the WWE Performance Center

A new report has provided details on WWE‘s plans for NXT as a touring brand.

Yesterday, WWE announced that the first two episodes of WWE NXT following its move to The CW will take place outside of the WWE Performance Center – namely in Chicago, Illinois and St Louis, Missouri. The shows will also see special appearances from CM Punk and Randy Orton respectively.

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that the change will not be permanent and the black and gold will instead hold arena shows outside of the Performance Center when “it makes sense to do so.”

Additionally, the company has no plans at this time for any events beyond the October 1st and October 8th NXTs to take place outside the Performance Center. However, per a source in the company, this could change depending on demand for tickets and other factors.

WWE To Undergo Yet Another Announce Team Shake-Up

WWE To Undergo Another Commentary Shake-Up When Raw Moves To Netflix

WWE will be undergoing yet another announce team shake-up later this year, it has been reported!

Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer reports that the recent announcement that Michael Cole will be moved to SmackDown while the recently-signed Joe Tessitore will be taking his place on Raw is, in fact, a temporary move.

The two men’s positions will reportedly be swapped around again in preparation for WWE Raw’s move to Netflix. As such, Cole will move back to the red brand in January while Tessitore will make his debut on SmackDown.

It’s still unclear at the time of writing if Corey Graves, Wade Barrett and Pat McAfee will also be switching brands with Cole and Tessitore respectively, although reports of Tessitore’s WWE signing stated that he would lead a three-man announce team with Graves and Barrett.

Kota Ibushi is set to compete in his first official match since suffering a major ankle injury back in January.

While Ibushi competed in a 5-minute exhibition match in GLEAT last month, the AEW star hasn’t wrestled an official match since defeating Naomichi Marufuji at Pro Wrestling NOAH The New Year 2024 earlier this year. There, he suffered a major ankle injury which required surgery.

Six months on from that injury, Ibushi is officially set to return to the ring in DDT Pro-Wrestling – his first match in the promotion in over seven years. At the promotion’s Korakuen Hall event on August 25th, he’ll team up with Akito and Danshoku Dieno to take on Tetsuya Endo,  Yuya Koroku and Yuki Iino.
