Joe Hendry in TNA

Joe Hendry believes he’s best for business in TNA.

On July 20th in Montreal, Joe Hendry will be one of five men attempting to dethrone Moose as TNA World Champion. Speaking in a recent interview with Denise Salcedo, Hendry opened up about why he believes becoming the champion will be the best thing for the company.

“Sorry to everyone else, but I think me winning the TNA World Championship is absolutely what is best for business. It’s what the fans want and I think we’re an era where the fans are getting what they want. So I am going to go to Montreal and I will deliver what the fans want to see. I will become TNA World Champion.

I really believe something special is happening right now and I think I have what it takes to be the guy in TNA Wrestling. As amazing as our roster is, all the people in this match are unbelievable but I really do feel this is my time and I think that the fans feel that too.” (h/t F4WOnline)

Joe Hendry’s TNA plans were disrupted when he found viral success, and the star has been making major waves in NXT in recent weeks.

How Long Is Left On Joe Hendry’s TNA Contract?

While he didn’t give exact details, Joe Hendry confirmed that he has “a while” left on his TNA contract during a recent interview on Talk is Jericho. He also praised TNA for their willingness to help him advance his career.

“We’ve got a while, but because of the working relationship, I really feel like anything is possible. I’m very thankful to TNA management. Any time, not once have I gone to them with an opportunity, and not once have they said no. I’ve gone to them and said, ‘I think this would be great.’ They always support me.

There was a time recently, I went to TNA, they had some big matches for me coming up, and I said, ‘I want to go to Orlando and I want to train with Ace Steel and Natalya and Tyson Kidd. I’m going to go. If you want to help me facilitate this, I would appreciate it.’ They said, ‘What can we do to help?’ Whenever I’ve tried to invest in myself, TNA has helped me do that. They’ve been behind me all the way. They’re very giving to the ideas and opportunities that present themselves. I really feel like anything is on the table.” (h/t Fightful)
