In an interview conducted by McCarthy with Jey Uso on September 25th, the No.1 Contender to the WWE Universal Championship confirmed that his brother’s rehabilitation was on track and going well, stating:
“He’s rehabbing that knee and, by January/February, we’re going to get back Uso crazy.”
In the same interview, Jey Uso also discussed his brother’s disappointment at not being present for his WWE Universal Championship Match with cousin Roman Reigns at WWE Clash of Champions:
“Jimmy knows this is a big moment and he doesn’t want to take the light away from me, but he just wishes he could be in my corner. He just wants to walk with me, be in my corner, have the best seat in the house. He wants to bang on the apron, feel the intensity, the sweat dripping, all of that!”
Jimmy Uso has been absent from WWE television since WrestleMania 36 when he injured his knee in the Ladder Match for the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Championships. The bout also featured John Morrison and Kofi Kingston.
Jey Uso will challenge Roman Reigns for the WWE Universal Championship at WWE Clash of Champions after defeating Matt Riddle, King Corbin and Sheamus on the September 4th WWE Friday Night Smackdown to become No.1 Contender.
Everyone at Inside the Ropes wishes Jimmy Uso a speedy recovery.
