Former WWE RAW and SmackDown Tag Team Champion Jimmy Uso has been arrested for DUI again, according to TMZ.
Having closed out SmackDown this week by brawling with Edge as part of the main event scene on the blue brand, Uso – real name Jonathan Fatu – has gone from being prominently featured on WWE television to behind bars as the TMZ report confirms Uso was arrested on Monday evening at 10:35pm.
Jimmy Uso was booked for DUI in July 2019, before being found not guilty by a jury, as well as being arrested shortly beforehand in 2019 when he was allegedly involved in an altercation with police in Detroit.
TMZ reports that Uso was driving in Pensacola, Florida, and was arrested after running a red light having been driving at 50mph in a 35mph zone. Having been pulled over, Uso was reportedly asked to exit his Dodge Charger with the police officers saying the WWE star smelled of alcohol.
The SmackDown star’s sobriety tests returned a BAC of .202 and .205 – well above the legal limit of .08 – according to police documents. The report says Uso had told police he had consumed “multiple” beers before getting behind the wheel.
TMZ reports that, according to jail records, Uso was booked on a misdemeanor DUI charge and is currently still behind bars. The report adds that Uso was also hit with citations for speeding and running a red light, and his bond is currently set at $500.
Uso’s brother Jey Uso has spent the past year being prominently featured on SmackDown alongside WWE Universal Champion Roman Reigns, while his brother recuperated from injury. Now the twins – who are the sons of WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi – are both thoroughly involved in the storyline with The Tribal Chief.
