Jim Ross Names The 2 “Most Brilliant” Managers In WWE History

Jim Ross Names The 2

Legendary commentator and WWE Hall of Famer Jim Ross shared his thoughts on who he considers to be the greatest managers in professional wrestling history.

Jim Ross, in an episode of his podcast “Grilling JR,” singled out fellow WWE Hall of Famer Paul Heyman and the legendary Jim Cornette. Ross had particularly high praise for Cornette stating:

Happy birthday Corny, he’s still brilliant, there’s no doubt the most brilliant manager I’ve ever been around.

This statement carries significant weight, considering Ross’s decades-long career in professional wrestling and his interactions with countless personalities in the business. The veteran commentator didn’t stop there, emphasising the unique qualities that set Cornette apart.

Corny is special, there’s no doubt he’s very special.

He acknowledged Cornette’s controversial nature but expressed a sense of nostalgia for his contributions to the industry.

I know he’s controversial, and he stirs up the s**t, but that’s the business he’s in right now, it’s insane to say that, but I miss a lot of the things Cornette did.

Ross also highlighted Cornette’s behind-the-scenes contributions, particularly in creative roles.

He was great on the booking committees, always had ideas.

Perhaps most importantly, Ross credited Cornette with bringing a crucial element to their work.

Believe it or not, he added logic to what we were doing because he understood the business.

While Ross’s comments focused heavily on Cornette, he made sure to include Paul Heyman in his praise, stating:

He and Paul Heyman, I had a lot of fun working with those guys.

Which Unique Venue Does Jim Ross Think WWE Will Run A Show In?

Jim Ross has spoken about the possibility of WWE hosting a show in the Las Vegas Sphere. The Sphere is a fully interactive arena with a 16K resolution wraparound interior LED screen, speakers with beamforming and wave field synthesis technologies, and 4D physical effects. Recently the UFC hosted one of its shows from the venue for the first time and Ross believes that WWE may not be far behind in running a show from the Sphere.
