Jim Ross has addressed his current AEW deal and when it is up for renewal.
At the start of 2024, Ross stated that he was unsure if he would be able to call Sting’s final match at Revolution in March as his contract was going to expire the month prior. Thankfully, both sides were able to come to terms on a new deal and the legendary announcer was able to provide the soundtrack for The Icon’s final outing.
Moving forward, Ross will be making appearances on pay-per-views and occasionally on TV. With All Elite Wrestling making its US stadium debut in 2025 with All In Texas, many are hoping that the Hall of Famer will make his presence felt at the event.
Addressing the upcoming All In show on his Grilling JR podcast, Ross confirmed he should be at the event and noted his contract expired in August 2025. Ross also added the positive news that another contract renewal should be in the works:
“Oh, yeah, I think so. My contract expires in August [2025]. But I don’t have any sense or feeling that I’m not gonna be kept. Because of the schedule I do, I could maintain that for years to come. I’m not saying that in a braggadocios fashion. This is what I do. This is what I was born to do. As long as my heart is beating and I’m healthy, and right now, I’m healthier than I’ve ever been. Once this wound heals, and it’s getting closer and closer, I’ll be 100%. I’m waiting for my hip to heal from hip surgery,”
