Jim Ross Calls AEW Star Don Callis A “Miserable Prick”

Concerning Injury Development Sent Jim Ross To The Emergency Room

Jim Ross always envisioned Don Callis behind the commentary booth rather at ringside managing and that’s in great deal to his personality.

Ross talked about working with Callis in the past on a recent episode of “Grilling JR” where he and co-host Conrad Thompson chat about Callis’ time in WWE.

“I did some commentary with him on some shows, and realized right away, he’s a hell of a talker. Now, he may be a miserable prick in real life, and some people would agree with that assessment of Don, but nobody can disagree with the fact that Don is very intelligent and he thinks for Don.

“So, you know, old school, ‘how do I get over,/ brother’ type deal, so that he could talk man from the get go, one of the best talkers. And I thought that would be his calling as a broadcaster, and not as a manager. Not that he couldn’t be a manager, not that he couldn’t do a good job. It’s just the fact that when you stumble across a guy that can really talk is a good listener, and has the ability to talk in soundbites so he’s not on and on and on. You know, you’re lucky.”
