Prior to the incident, Jim Duggan had been attending an event in his native city of Glens Falls, New York, where he was honored by the local Firefighters Association.
The Hall of Famer was also given the surprise of Mayor S. William Collins declaring the day, “James ‘Hacksaw’ Duggan Day”, something the star described as “an incredible honor.”
“Pictured with some of the first responders in Glens Falls!
Yesterday was named James “Hacksaw” Duggan Day by the mayor! We didn’t know anything about it and it was an incredible honor.”
