Wrestling legend Jim Cornette has been his outlandish self while reviewing the 2021 Survivor Series as he calls one WWE Superstar a “mutant.”
At Survivor Series, it was a case of fighting for brand supremacy once again as champions faced off with champions and both Raw and SmackDown’s men and women faced off in traditional 5 on 5 tag team bouts.
In the men’s bout, Raw was represented by Seth Rollins, Finn Balor, Bobby Lashley, Austin Theory, and Kevin Owens. While fighting for SmackDown were Drew McIntyre, Happy Corbin, King Woods, Sheamus, and Jeff Hardy.
Raw found themselves at an early disadvantage as Owens confounded people’s expectations of him as he walked out on the match and his team before a punch was thrown.
The bout itself was nip and tuck as no one team ever had more than a one-man advantage but in the end, it was Seth Rollins standing tall as the sole survivor winning the match for Team Raw by last defeating Hardy.
While reviewing the match on his Drive Thru podcast, Jim Cornette singled out former WWE Champion Sheamus as standing out, but not for the reasons he would hope:
“Sheamus I noticed, even in this company especially, looks like a radiation mutant. He looks like some one-celled amoeba that would crawl from the pond somewhere and has been radiated to form a human-like shape, but he would still be translucent, and you would see through him, it was very mutant-ish.”
Most recently the Irish star took part in the Black Friday Battle Royal on SmackDown to find a new number one contender for Roman Reign’s Universal Championship. The Celtic Warrior was unsuccessful as the match was won by Sami Zayn.
