Jim Cornette Gives Damning Assessment Of Liv Morgan’s In-Ring Skills

Liv Morgan makes her entrance

Jim Cornette has slammed Liv Morgan’s in-ring skills, commenting that she’s everything he dislikes in women’s wrestling.

In recent weeks Liv Morgan has joined forces with Finn Balor and AJ Styles to battle Edge, Damian Priest and her former tag team partner Rhea Ripley.

After turning on Morgan in April, Ripley joined forces with and Edge and Damian Priest in Judgment Day. This has seen the former partners continue to clash in the ring in both singles and tag team action.

Over the past year, Morgan has become something of a fan favourite, consistently being greeted by huge cheers as she continues her journey to the Raw Women’s Championship. However, despite Morgan’s popularity with fans, Jim Cornette has been less than impressed by her in-ring performances.

Speaking on his podcast, Jim Cornette’s Drive Thru, the legendary manager praised Rhea Ripley before handing down a damning assessment of Morgan’s skills.

“But when Rhea and Liv got in there, again Ripley is everything I like about women’s wrestling and Liv Morgan is the opposite. She’s too small, her sh*t it’s awkward, she’s trying to do sh*t to bigger people and they’re trying to let her, it doesn’t come across. I don’t… she’s too pretty… I just don’t see it.”

Liv Morgan signed with WWE in 2014, appearing in NXT until November 2017 when she debuted on SmackDown as part of the Riott Squad.

Following the release of Ruby Riott (Ruby Soho) in June 2021, Morgan returned to being a singles star and began her quest to become Women’s Champion.

During December and into January, Morgan battled then Raw Women’s Champion Becky Lynch for the red brand’s top female prize. However, despite pushing The Man all of the way, she failed to capture the gold.
