Jim Cornette Criticises Ronda Rousey’s Demeanour

Ronda Rousey cuts a promo

Wrestling legend Jim Cornette has given his thoughts on SmackDown Women’s Champion Ronda Rousey’s on-screen attitude, questioning if she wants to be in WWE.

On the 10th of June edition of SmackDown, Ronda Rousey began cutting a promo in the ring before being interrupted by Shotzi. The upstart superstar challenged the SmackDown Women’s Champion to a match with Rousey gamely accepting the offer.

Rousey overcame Shotzi but was then viciously attacked by Natalya with WWE telling their audience that The Baddest Woman on the Planet has suffered a serious injury.

Speaking on the Jim Cornette Experience, wrestling manager extraordinaire Jim Cornette was more focussed on Rousey’s promo and her demeanour while she was giving it:

“She starts doing a promo in the ring and it’s prepared material, obviously, about the pay-per-view, the Money in the Bank match coming up. But, it’s like she’s forced to do this interview because somebody is holding a family member hostage until she finishes. It doesn’t look like she wants to be in there.”

“She spoke for 30 seconds and not very convincingly. And here comes Shotzi and she brought some life into it – and she was still reciting the verbiage she was given, but she sounded like she wanted to be there and she was trying.”
