Jey Uso’s hand in producing his WWE entrances revealed.
Ever since breaking away from The Bloodline a couple of years ago, Jey Uso has forged his path. Chasing singles glory, Uso is now a former Intercontinental Champion and the 2025 Royal Rumble winner.
Widely known all over the globe for his iconic catchphrase ‘Yeet’ and his crowd-centric entrances, Jey Uso recently revealed his contribution to it. Speaking on the Pat McAfee podcast, Uso discussed the entrance and how he helps the promotion produce it.
“The craziest part with the concourse entrance, I have time to go up through the concourse, but when I’m sitting there waiting for my music to hit, they are counting me down. ‘You got one minute.’ I’m sitting there waiting, and when I mean that’s the craziest part of that entrance, when I’m sitting in the concourse with the people. I’m talking before I even walk out, sitting there and waiting to go, that is crazy.
There was one moment where she was shooting the shot to come out of the concourse, and the people weren’t in the shot. I switched cameras around to make it look like it was busy behind me. The shot just came out right. I’m in there producing too, Uce. I’m like, ‘Let’s walk this way and turn this way because the people are here.’ When the shot came out, that was the first shot I did, now it’s every time. I want all the kids. Give me all the kids. It’s very fun.”

Jey Uso Reveals The History Behind His Catchphrase ‘Yeet’
In a recent interview on Nightcap, Jey Uso reflected on the origin of his ‘Yeet’. The 2025 Royal Rumble winner claimed how his 2023 Fastlane press conference with Cody Rhodes led to the rise of the catchphrase.
“If you really pay attention, like, my brothers, Roman, we’ve kind of been saying that from the jump. If you look at old promos or whatever, you’ll hear him. You know, it’s also West Coast slang. It’s been a slang before ‘Yeet’ became a meme. Like, I’m a little older than the little homies who are like, ‘Oh, that’s just a meme, a catchphrase where you’re yeeting people.’ But it’s been slang.
The ‘T’ wasn’t even on there. It used to be ‘Ye,’ like, ‘ye e e e e e,’ you know? You said it a little too hard though, you gotta pull it back. But, man, I didn’t expect it to take off like that. It just took off. And I feel like it kind of took off at the press conference. If you watch the press conference, like, you know, if you watch you know and then, Cody saying ‘Ye,’ and then it just took off, man. Like, I think that was a turning point. But I never thought it would take off the way it did.”
As the 2025 Rumble winner, Uso is now confused about choosing his WrestleMania opponents between Cody Rhodes and Gunther.
