The March 6th episode of Monday Night Raw played host to the latest twist in the saga surrounding The Bloodline as Jay Uso stunned the world.
Everything had been going perfectly to plan for The Bloodline, but in the lead-up to the Royal Rumble, it became clear there was trouble in paradise. Or on the ‘Island of Relavency’ as it’s also known.
Roman Reigns has become increasingly frustrated by Honorary Uce Sami Zayn and that boiled over in the aftermath of his match with Kevin Owens at the event. With Owens handcuffed, Zayn turned down the chance to hit him, instead smashing Reigns. This sparked a vicious beatdown of Zayn but Jey Uso stood to one side before leaving, not getting involved.
Over the following weeks, The Bloodline attempted to bring Jey back into the fold, while Zayn tried to get him to leave the group permanently.
On March 6th, this tug of war finally came to an end. With Jimmy Uso and Sami Zayn battling in the main event, Jey appeared through the crowd and came to ringside, seemingly cheering on Jimmy. However, the distraction led to Zayn grabbing the win. After the match, the Uso brothers came face-to-face and a conflicted Jey seemingly turned his back on Jimmy.
Jey Uso Makes His Choice
Once outside the ring, Jey embraced Zayn letting fans believe he had made his decision. However, that was followed by a Superkick as he revealed his true colours. This led to Zayn being attacked by The Usos and Solo Sikoa with Cody Rhodes coming to make the save. Rhodes had been seen talking to Kevin Owens backstage after he had again turned down Zayn’s attempts at a reconciliation
In response to teaming back up with his brother Jey wrote a stark, remorseless message on social media. “Family first.”
Elsewhere on the show, three huge matches were set up for WrestleMania. Seth Rollins will take on Logan Paul, John Cena will challenge Austin Theory for the United States Title, and Trish Stratus will team with Lita and Becky Lynch to face Bayley and Damage CTRL.
