Jey Uso Gets Revenge On The Bloodline, Reunites With Former Enemy On WWE SmackDown

Jey Uso had a short WWE World Title run

Jey Uso put his differences aside with a long-time rival in the closing moments of WWE SmackDown.

Last night’s episode of SmackDown left many in shock when The Motor City Machine Guns dethroned Tama Tonga and Tanga Loa as the WWE Tag Team Championship in just their third WWE match ever. Their surprise title win gives Chris Sabin and Alex Shelley the unique honour of being the first tag team in history to hold titles in WWE, TNA, ROH and NJPW.

Their victory wasn’t without controversy, however, as they faced the champions immediately after defeating #DIY to become the #1 Contenders – on top of being outnumbered by Solo Sikoa and Jacob Fatu watching from ringside. Thankfully, both Jey Uso and Roman Reigns appeared to even the odds.

After the referee was accidentally taken out towards the end of the match, Jey entered the ring and took out the defending champions with various Superkicks, Spears and chair shots. This allowed Sabin and Shelley to hit Skull & Bones before pinning Tama Tonga to capture WWE gold.

Jey Uso Reunited With Jimmy Uso To Close SmackDown

As the new champions exited the arena to celebrate, Jey Uso was joined in the ring by his brother and long-time rival Jimmy Uso. After several moments of hesitation, the two embraced each other in a warm hug, much to the delight of the Brooklyn crowd. The show closed with Roman Reigns looking on happily from the stage.

The reunion appears to mark the end of the Uso brothers’ year-long rivalry stemming from Jimmy’s betrayal of Jey at SummerSlam 2023, allowing Reigns to retain the Undisputed WWE Universal Championship over his cousin.
