Jey Uso Defends WWE Intercontinental Championship For The First Time

Jey Uso WWE Intercontinental Championship

Jey Uso just had his first WWE Intercontinental Championship defense.

After years of hard work and perish, Uso experienced his first singles title victory over Bron Breakker earlier this week. On RAW, Uso defeated Breakker to win the Intercontinental Championship.

Jey Uso defended his championship over the former champion Bron Breakker at the untelevised live show in Columbus, Georgia. Uso safely secured his title and now looks to continue his title reign.

Enjoying his singles run on RAW, the current champion has established his dominance in the mid-card. He broke his 11-year streak and will continue his first-ever singles title reign. Despite his legendary position in the tag-team section, Uso is still relevantly new to the singles division and has plenty to learn.

WWE Legend “Happy” For Uso’s First Intercontinental Championship Run

Speaking on the recent episode of his ‘Lex Expressed‘ podcast, wrestling legend Lex Luger shared his honest feelings on Jey Uso’s title victory.

Yeah, that he won’t miss a beat. I thought was great for Uso because, I mean, obviously uso because I mean, they that thing he does, the ‘YEET,’ he is so over. He’s having such a great run, I am so happy for him to accomplish that.”

Luger further praised Bron Breakker and continued praising the former champion.

Also, even though he’s relatively new in the business, that’s not going to hurt Bron at all. He’s so talented. He’s going to be a staple in the WWE for the next, who knows, 15-20, years, he’s going to be a huge star, a multi-time world champion.

I see nothing but the sky’s the limit for Bron. So I think that was one of those situations where it was a win-win. I think Bron’s going to go on to even bigger, better things, obviously, for a long time, and it was great to see Jey get the title there. I thought that was a good move. I don’t think it’s gonna hurt Bron at all.”

In other news: Logan Paul has welcomed his first child into the world.

While Jey Uso’s win was popular with the fans, an announcer believes it is bittersweet.
