Jey Uso has confirmed that his brother Jimmy Uso will soon be back on WWE programming!
Jimmy Uso has not been seen on WWE TV since being ejected from The Bloodline and brutalised by the debuting Tama Tonga on the SmackDown after WrestleMania XL. His beatdown was reportedly done to take him off programming while he recovers from an undisclosed injury.
However, according to his brother Jey Uso, it won’t be long before we get to see Jimmy once again. Speaking on The Ringer Wrestling Show, Jey confirmed that his long-time tag team partner suffered an injury and will be returning in the very near future.
“My brother will be back soon. I want to see him on TV. If you really pay attention to Jimmy, Jimmy is funny as hell. He was shining on SmackDown for a little bit, but he got hurt. I’m excited to see his character back on TV.”
Jey Uso Wasn’t A Fan Of His WrestleMania XL Match With Jimmy Uso
Jimmy Uso last competed at night one of WrestleMania XL where he lost to his brother Jey Uso. Unfortunately for the Uso brothers, many felt their long-awaited WrestleMania clash fell short of expectations and was the worst match on the two-night event.
This is an assessment that Jey himself seemingly agrees with, admitting in an interview with Gorilla Position that he felt they “let the people down”. He attributed the match’s quality issues to their time being significantly cut down from initial plans, leading to a surprisingly short 11-minute bout as a result.
Recently WWE Hall of Famer Rikishi spoke about Jimmy Uso’s impending return to WWE.
