Jesse Ventura will make his onscreen WWE return at the Saturday Night’s Main Event special on Saturday, December 14th.

The news was first broken on The Bill Simmons Podcast and later announced on the company’s social media channel:

Ventura is set to call the action on a couple of the matches on the event. The former wrestler and Governor of Minnesota was an integral part of the Saturday Night’s Main Event specials and hosted many of the events that began back in 1985.

Earlier in the year, Jesse Ventura confirmed that he was back in WWE under a legends deal following his backstage appearance at Raw in Minnesota. Speaking on the podcast, Ventura once again referenced that hell had frozen over due to his return and spoke further about the returning Saturday Night’s Main Event show, noting that it will have a throwback feel on December 14th.

Jesse Ventura To Announce Multiple Matches At Saturday Night’s Main Event

Ventura was heavily rumoured to be a part of the show following the announcements that he was back in the company and that the special would be returning in December. The announced card for Saturday Night’s Main Event is as follows:

  • Cody Rhodes (c) vs. Kevin Owens – Singles match for the Undisputed Championship
  • Liv Morgan (c) vs. Iyo Sky – Singles match for the Women’s World Championship
  • TBD vs. TBD – Singles match to crown the first ever Women’s United States Champion
  • Gunther (c) vs. Finn Balor – Singles match for the World Heavyweight Championship
