Jesse Ventura’s upcoming return to WWE will not be a one-off.
After announcing that he was back in the company earlier in the year as a legends deal had been agreed to, Jesse Ventura announced on December 6th that he would be making his return to the announce booth in just over a week’s time at the returning Saturday Night’s Main Event special.
With Ventura being an integral part of the initial Saturday Night’s Main Event run and a popular announcer, fans are excited to see what the Hall of Famer will say at the returning show. Giving more good news to the fans, Ventura will be sticking around a little bit longer.
Discussing his upcoming return on The Bill Simmons podcast, Ventura stated that he has no restrictions on what he can say on commentary and that he will be back for the returning Saturday Night’s Main Event specials:
“Handcuffs are off, I can say anything I want about anyone. I am, I’m very excited about it. I don’t discuss finances, but it’s acceptable and I’ll be doing four a year,”
Jesse Ventura Makes Televised Return
The same day that the interview dropped confirming the news of Ventura’s upcoming return, SmackDown aired live from Minneapolis, Minnesota. Spotted in the front row during the broadcast was former Minnesota Governor Jesse Ventura, who made his first WWE onscreen appearance in more than 15 years. Acknowledging the return, Triple H welcomed Ventura home and stated that the show wouldn’t be the same without him.
Ventura did make the trip to a Raw taping earlier in the year but was only spotted backstage.
