WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler has opened up about his Raw run-in with Veer Mahaan and says the star does not find anything funny.
On Monday Night Raw, Lawler came face to face with the impressive Veer Mahaan to ask him about his current feud with The Mysterios in a special King’s Court. In typical King fashion, Lawler dropped several jokes of questionable quality, eventually upsetting Mahaan enough to put himself in danger.
Thankfully for Jerry Lawler, Rey and Dominik Mysterio were on hand to come to his salvation and take Mahaan out of the picture, even if between them they couldn’t take the big man off his feet.
Speaking on Raw Talk following the events, Jerry Lawler discussed his meeting with Veer Mahaan and says his humour was wasted on him:
“I didn’t know what to expect from Veer Mahaan. That was the first time I had been around the guy. Usually, if I’m talking to somebody for the first time, I try to disarm them with a little bit of humour [but] this guy has no sense of humour… None, whatsoever. My jokes… maybe they weren’t the greatest jokes in the world, but it really upset me.”
“All of a sudden, I’m standing there with this guy that’s so imposing, scary looking, sounds like, I don’t know, whatnot. And all of a sudden I think he’s going to attack me. I don’t know what to do. Thank God, The Mysterios came out.”
