Jerry Lawler Undergoes Surgery In Major Health Update

WWE legend Jerry Lawler has reportedly undergone surgery.

According to PWInsider the King recently underwent a knee replacement surgery.

Over the past few years, the Hall of Famer has unfortunately experienced a series of emergency surgeries due to him suffering a second stroke two years ago.

In February 2023 Lawler experienced a massive stroke, which resulted in him being hospitalized in Fort Myers, Florida. Despite his condition being revealed to be serious, encouraging updates followed. It was stated that while his speech was affected, a full recovery was expected with rehabilitation.

Just six-months after the health scare, Lawler made a special guest appearance on the August 28th edition of Monday Night Raw in Memphis, Tennesse, receiving a huge welcome from his hometown crowd.

Two months later Lawler appeared on NXT TV in a pre-recorded segment to provide his pick for the Iron Survivor Challenge.

More good news followed when the man himself then spoke to Bill Apter detailing his lengthy road to recovery revealing he is having multiple rehab sessions each week and noting that his voice has changed.

Jerry Lawler inducted Andy Kaufman into the 2023 WWE Hall of Fame

Lawler participated in the 2023 WWE Hall Of Fame induction of the late Andy Kaufman. The King appeared via video link as they honoured Kaufman, whose famous rivalry with Lawler is etched into wrestling history.

Lawler and Kaufman clashed in several matches for the Continental Wrestling Association in the early 1980s.

Their famous feud saw them appear on the Dave Letterman Show in an infamous segment that saw the comedian launch a verbal tirade on Lawler, who then slapped out of his chair, much to the shock of the talk show host and the audience all of whom thought the act was legitimate.
