Jerry Lawler Said To Have Recently Suffered Health Setback

Jerry Lawler

Dutch Mantell has revealed that Jerry Lawler recently suffered a setback with his health.

In February 2023, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler was hospitalized after suffering a stroke at his home. The WWE Hall of Famer has made significant progress in his recovery over the past year, and Lawler recently gave a positive health update after also undergoing knee surgery.

However, in a recent episode of his Story Time podcast, Dutch Mantell said he had “heard through the grapevine” that Lawler had unfortunately suffered another stroke within the past month. Thankfully, he also said it was minor and there “must not have been a lot to it.”

“Well, this is another little thing that I heard through the little grapevine… but I heard he had another one, a minor one, but he did have another one within the last two or three weeks, I heard, or it may have been a month. It must not have been a lot to it.”

Jerry Lawler Ready To Get Back On The Road

On May 6th, news broke that Jerry Lawler’s broadcast contract with WWE was not being renewed. Despite this, The King is keeping himself busy, and recently Jerry Lawler explained he was far enough along in his recovery from health issues that he could get back out on the road, starting with the recent Legends of Wrestling Reunion in Evansville, Indiana.

While the star said he is feeling good physically, he admitted there are still “little things” that take him longer to do than before the stroke.
