Legendary wrestler, announcer and WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler has provided a new update following recent battles with health issues.
Back in February 2023, fans were very concerned for The King when news broke that Jerry Lawler had been hospitalised after suffering a stroke. Lawler’s condition was said to be “very serious” and the wrestling world collectively wished all the best for Lawler.
In October 2023, Lawler conducted an interview with Bill Apter and provided an update to the fans on his current condition. Lawler stated that he was undergoing rehab 3 times a week and that his speech was slowly recovering. Additionally, the Hall of Famer thanked the fans for their many well wishes over the course of the year.
At the end of March 2024, Jerry Lawler was once again in hospital as he underwent knee replacement surgery. Providing the latest update in May, Lawler has some positive news to share.
While appearing at a signing for East Coast Autograph Auctions, Lawler revealed that his health is much better:
“My health is great. I just (went) over to the doctors to get back on the road from my knee replacement and then of course, still some minor difficulties from the stroke. But all of that stuff is coming around fast.”
Despite this positive news, Dutch Mantell recently claimed that Jerry Lawler has suffered a setback with his health.
