WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler had some harsh words for Raw Women’s Champion Bianca Belair.
In the leadup to SummerSlam 2021, reigning champion Bianca Belair was scheduled to face Sasha Banks for the SmackDown Women’s Championship. However, plans changed when Banks was unable to compete in the match. Instead, Becky Lynch made her return to WWE and shocked the world by defeating Belair in just 26 seconds. Lynch hadn’t been seen in the company in over a year, ever since she announced that she was pregnant and would be taking time away to become a mother.
One year later, the EST of WWE is once again headed to SummerSlam as champion after defeating Lynch for the Raw Women’s Championship at WrestleMania 38, and this time she knows she’ll be facing Big Time Becks on the grandest stage of the summer.
Speaking about the upcoming match on Raw Talk, WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler had some harsh words for the current champion, questioning whether she has anything to bring to the table beyond her signature braid and Raw Women’s Championship.
“Bianca Belair does need Becky Lynch. Because, let’s face it, Bianca Belair, without that title — she’s a one-trick pony. When you get past that long, braided hair, what’s she got? Nothing.”
Continuing, Jerry ‘The King’ Lawler had high praise for Lynch, who he called a “national treasure.”
“Becky Lynch, on the other hand — she’s a national treasure. I understand they’re gonna put her picture on the Euro — over in Ireland! It’s amazing. And when she gets that title back at SummerSlam, there’s no stopping Big Time Becks.”
Though the two are embroiled in a bitter rivalry now, Bianca Belair has spoken highly of Becky Lynch in the past, calling her one of the greatest storytellers in WWE.
