Jericho Appreciation Society Gets Two New Members

Chris Jericho & Jericho Appreciation Society

The Jericho Appreciation Society has gained a new member in shocking style as Chris Jericho took on Ortiz in a hair vs. hair match.

On the March 9th episode of AEW Dynamite the Jericho Appreciation Society was born. After being defeated by Eddie Kingston days earlier at Revolution, Chris Jericho came to the ring to address the bout.

Although it initially looked like he would bury the hatched with his rival, he turned on him again, before being joined by Jake Hager, 2Point0 and Daniel Garcia.

In the months that followed, the group has continued to clash with Kingston and Santana & Ortiz among others.

While it has already been announced that the two warring factions will meet at Blood and Guts, a hair vs. hair bout was also made between Jericho and Ortiz.

At Road Rager, the match was chaos from start to finish with interference galore from a host of characters at ringside. The Jericho Appreciation Society got involved on numerous occasions, but Eddie Kingston fought back before being joined by Wheeler Yuta and Santana.

Back in the ring, Kingston nailed Jericho with the spinning back-fist, but AEW’s resident wizard kicked out. Eventually a masked star, who appeared to be Fuego Del Sol, ran into the ring and took out Ortiz with a bat allowing Jericho to grab the win.

As Jericho headed back up the ramp, “Fuego” took off his mask to reveal the attacker was actually Sammy Guevara. The Spanish God and Jericho have a long history together, having formed part of the Inner Circle from late 2019 until early 2022.

Later in the show, Jericho announced that Sammy Guevara and Tay Coni were now part of the Jericho Appreciation Society.
