Jeff Jarrett Reveals The One Person He Wishes He’d Feuded With

Jeff Jarrett

WWE Hall Of Famer Jeff Jarrett has revealed the one wrestling icon he wishes he could have been involved in a long-term storyline with.

Jarrett has shared the wrestling ring with many of the good and greats of wrestling over the years with a career that has taken in Memphis, WWE, WCW, and TNA. The likes of Shawn Michaels, Sting, Kurt Angle, Hulk Hogan have all been opponents of Jarrett in a career that has seen Double J himself climb the mountain several times as both WCW and NWA/TNA World Champion.

Speaking exclusively to Kenny McIntosh to answer 20 Questions for issue 14 of Inside The Ropes magazine Jeff Jarrett discussed who he’d have one more match with and reveals the man he’d loved to have feuded with:

“Of who I’ve wrestled it’s Shawn Michaels and Kurt Angle. I felt I had good chemistry with both of them. I would have loved to have worked a programme with Randy Savage.”

Jeff Jarrett and Shawn Michaels shared the ring as far back as 1988 when Michaels was part of The Midnight Rockers in the CWA based out of Memphis, Tennessee. The two men met again several times as part of The New Generation in the WWF with The Heartbreak Kid defeating Jarrett for the Intercontinental Title at In Your House 2 in 1995.

Jarrett’s tussles with Angle came later in both men’s careers in the confines of a TNA ring. The men have fought in gang warfare and over the TNA World Title but things took a personal turn when Jeff Jarrett teamed with his now-wife and Angle’s ex-wife Karen in a mixed tag team bout that also involved Chyna.

Jarrett and Savage have shared the ring on a handful of occasions but never in a one-on-one bout. The two men were on opposing sides in Savage’s last ever wrestling match at TNA’s Turning Point event in 2004. Savage teamed with AJ Styles and Jeff Hardy to defeat The Kings Of Wrestling team comprised of Jarrett, Scott Hall, and Kevin Nash.
