Jeff Jarrett is coming to SummerSlam! Ain’t that great?
At Money In The Bank The Usos squared off against The Street Profits with the Undisputed Tag Team Championships on the line.
After a frenetic, high-flying contest The Usos eventually retained their titles but it was far from straightforward. Roared on by a capacity crown in Las Vegas, Angelo Dawkins and Montez Ford pushed the champions to the absolute limit and then some.
In fact, the former NXT stars had a strong case that they were never actually defeated at all. Replays showed that during the pin-fall that decided the fate of the gold, Montez Ford’s shoulder wasn’t on the mat.
On the July 15th episode of Friday Night SmackDown, Angelo Dawkins took on Jimmy Uso in the main event. In the end it was Dawkins who picked up the win, but the victory wasn’t without controversy.
After hitting the Sky High, Dawkins pinned his rival, but Jimmy’s shoulder was clearly off the mat, earning him a small measure of retribution for the error two weeks earlier.

After the match, Sami Zayn lobbied to be the special guest referee for the match between the Street Profits and The Usos at SummerSlam. However, Zayn was eventually overlooked. After the match, Adam Pearce appeared on the ramp and announced that none other than Jeff Jarrett will be the official for the contest.
Jarrett returned to WWE in May, assuming the role of Senior Vice President of Live Events.
