Jeff Hardy has discussed the worst bump he ever took in a wrestling match and says one was so bad that he thought he had broken his back.
Hardy made a name for himself alongside brother Matt and Lita in the aptly-named Team Xtreme. The star helped innovate modern ladder matches as well as the TLC classics between The Hardy Boyz, The Dudleyz, and Edge and Christian.
Now Jeff Hardy is part of AEW and as seen by his recent matches with Darby Allin and The Young Bucks, the former WWE Champion is still no stranger to high-risk moves and scary landings.
In conversation with Chris Jericho on his Talk is Jericho podcast, Jeff Hardy discussed the worst bump he ever took in his daredevil career:
“Mine, without a doubt, is me and RVD. I wanted to get through this table vertical, for some reason. I had to get it cleared through Vince [McMahon]. It was like from a 12 or 14-footer. But the table was vertical and I wanted to go through the framing. And Rob moved and the table… knocked the wind out of me, couldn’t breathe, thought I broke my back. It was terrible. I was thinking, ‘Why’d I do that? I’m not doing that again.'”
Jeff Hardy previously discussed that bump and another crazy one he took in TNA that saw him fly through a table upside down.
