Jeff Hardy “Still Recovering From Recent Surgery”

Jeff Hardy entrance

Jeff Hardy made a surprise return to AEW on the April 12th episode of Dynamite.

On the show, Matt Hardy and Isiah Kassidy were being beaten down by The Firm before Hook ran in to save the day. However, despite briefly being on the back foot, The Firm was quickly back in control until Jeff Hardy entered to a loud ovation.

Jeff took out the group with a chair before hitting a crowd-pleasing Swanton Bomb on Lee Moriarty.

The run-in was Hardy’s first AEW appearance since being arrested back in June 2022. Shortly after his arrest, Hardy was suspended by AEW without pay and entered a rehabilitation facility.

However, while the former World Champion is back on television, it might be a little while longer until he wrestles his first match. A report from Fightful Select noted that the star is “still physically recovering from a recent surgery.” But there are alternate plans for the next few weeks that don’t involve him wrestling.

Although the report doesn’t mention the exact nature of the surgery, it is likely it’s the same eye surgery Matt Hardy discussed on a recent episode of his podcast.

Jeff Hardy On His “Final Opportunity”

Speaking after Jeff Hardy’s latest return to action, the star’s former tag team rival Bully Ray suggested that he was likely down to his last chance. The WWE Hall of Famer warned Hardy not to “f*ck this up” due to his history of suspensions.
