Jeff Hardy Says A Return to His Willow Persona Is “Gonna Happen”

Jeff Hardy as Willow

Jeff Hardy has claimed that he will be bringing back his Willow persona before he retires.

Hardy initially used the Willow The Wisp character during his days in the OMEGA promotion he ran alongside his brother Matt early in their careers. While the character has never been used by Hardy in WWE, it has appeared in both Ring of Honor and IMPACT Wrestling.

With Hardy now into the second half of his career, many fans have wondered whether he may reprise the character one more time before he hangs up his boots.

Appearing on Culture State, Hardy seemingly confirmed that the character will be making a comeback. The Charismatic Enigma revealed that he’s been speaking to the person who designed the mask for the character, adding that a Willow return is “gonna happen.”

“Speaking of Willow, I was just talking to the guy who makes the mask, who made it back then, he’s an awesome mask maker and making a new Willow mask and talking about the possibility of Willow entering the scene once again before my career is over. There we go, it’s gonna happen,”

In recent weeks, Jeff Hardy has been wrapped up in a feud with former NXT Champion Karrion Kross. After beating the Kross on his main roster debut in July, the former NXT Superstar got revenge by beating Hardy in two straight matches.

On the most recent episode of Monday Night RAW, Hardy challenged Damian Priest for the United States Championship. However, he was unsuccessful.

Meanwhile, Jeff’s brother Matt recently hinted that he would like his younger brother to join him in AEW. Speaking on the Adam’s Apple YouTube Channel, Hardy was asked about Jeff coming to AEW, to which he simply replied “fingers crossed.”

The Hardy Boyz last teamed together in April 2019.
