Jeff Hardy Not Expected To Return To AEW Anytime Soon

A new report has revealed that Jeff Hardy is not expected to return to AEW in the near future.

In the early hours of June 13th, Jeff Hardy was pulled over and arrested by Highway Patrol Officers after the vehicle he was driving had been “swerving” and “running off the road.”

After being pulled over, Hardy was arrested and according to Volusia County jail records, was charged with Driving While License Canceled/Suspended/Revoked, Violation of Restrictions Placed on Drivers License, and DUI Alcohol/Drugs Third Offense within 10 Years.

In dashcam footage of the arrest Hardy appeared unsteady on his feet, and he was later suspended by AEW without pay.

In recent weeks it was reported that the star would be leaving a rehab facility soon and working towards returning to the ring. This coupled with comments made by Matt Hardy led many to believe that Jeff could be returning very soon. However, a new report has urged caution, and suggested it may be a little while before the former World Champion is back in action.

The report from PWInsider states that Hardy will be appearing at a pre-trial hearing regarding the charges listed above on October 19th. The star remains with AEW but is not expected to return until his legal matters are cleared up and he has demonstrated that he can maintain sobriety.

Hardy is said to have been in treatment for “some time” since his arrest.
