When AEW Dynamite went on air this evening, perhaps the last thing on fans’ minds was that they would see the return of the legendary high-flyer, Jeff Hardy. But that’s precisely what happened midway through the April 12 Dynamite.
During the episode, Ethan Page came down to the ring and demanded Matt Hardy explain why he attacked Page during a match against Hook last week.
Matt then explained that Page should have read the fine print of the contract he signed for his match because then he would have seen that his loss meant Matt and Isaiah Kassidy would be free from The Firm. Page then reminded Matt and Isaiah that he’s not the only other member in the stable, cueing Big Bill and Lee Moriarty to come down and join in the beatdown of their former allies.
That’s when the signature Hardy Boyz music hit, and the crowd became electric! Jeff ran down to the ring and beat down everyone in sight, looking to be in great ring shape as he did.
Jeff Hardy’s Recent Legal Issues Left His Future In Question
As has been well documented throughout his career, Jeff has struggled with the law due to issues with drugs and alcohol. More recently, he submitted a written no-contest plea for his DUI case this past February. Jeff was credited for the 38 days he had already served in jail. He was suspended from the company last June but was assured he could return if he sorted out the legal and personal ordeals.
