Fans are concerned for the welfare of one of Jeff Hardy following the events that took place on AEW Rampage.
During the February 14th taping of Dynamite, it was announced that Hardy would face off against Sammy Guevara in a no disqualification match on Rampage, which would take place after Dynamite and would air on February 16th. With both wrestlers known for their high dives and death-defying moves, fans were expecting a lot of high-impact moves from the outset. Unfortunately, a Shooting Star Press from Guevara did not go as expected.
Captured by a fan at the arena, Guevera’s knee connects with Hardy’s head upon landing the dive, which left many concerned for Hardy.

Another fan in attendance caught the move from a different angle, irate with what they saw:
this is NOT the first time Sammy Guevara has injured Jeff Hardy with his amateur hour bullshit

As reported by SEScoops, the match was promptly ended after the move so that Hardy could be provided with medical attention. It is noted that Hardy was “visibly bleeding from the mouth” and “appeared disoriented” when trying to stand up. Fans in attendance for the taping believe that Hardy was knocked out by the move.
Update Provided On Severity Of Jeff Hardy Injury Suffered On AEW Rampage
Discussing the spot on Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer noted that he had seen the move in question but had not heard any further updates in regards to whether Jeff Hardy is injured and if so how severe:
I haven’t heard the severity of the injury, but it looked bad. I mean, you’ve seen them before. It’s the knee that just hit him right in there. Right in the temple. I think it looked like that. So yeah, he was knocked pretty silly. We don’t know, it may not be that severe but not sure.”
More information has been provided courtesy of Fightful Select, who notes that the initial fear was that Hardy suffered a broken nose after taking the move. Hardy would also be undergoing concussion tests.
Following the events that took place, Sammy Guevara was suspended and has since issued a statement.
