According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Jeff Hardy is said to be ok after his heart-stopping stunt on Monday Night Raw.
In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Radio, Meltzer noted that ‘The Charismatic Enigma’ did not show any signs of a concussion when he returned to the locker room even though there was an expectation that head trauma had occurred.
However, the journalist stated that a concussion could still be present as athletes can not show symptoms for days after a head injury occurs.
During the feud ending Symphony of Destruction Match which saw Jeff Hardy defeat Elias to bring their story to a close, Hardy attempted a Swanton Bomb through Elias and a table. However, because the table was positioned at the corner of the ring, only the star’s legs connected while the back of his head ricocheted off of the edge of the steel steps.
On contact, the former WWE Champion was seen to check his skull for signs of damage and Dave Meltzer noted that Hardy staggering around wasn’t a sell job. He was legitimately injured and showed worrying signs of trauma.
The Symphony of Destruction Match was the second gimmicked bout Hardy and Elias have collided in, following in the footsteps of their Guitar on a Pole war several weeks prior.
