Jeff Hardy and Adam Cole both had big nights at AEW Double Or Nothing but the two men will not compete on Dynamite despite originally being advertised.
At Double Or Nothing, Jeff Hardy and his brother Matt rolled back the years as they took part in a stunning tag team bout with former AEW Tag Team Champions The Young Bucks. Jeff Hardy took the usual risks fans have been accustomed to over the years, delivering a Swanton Bomb onto one of the Jackson brothers who was prone on the steel ring steps.
It was a winning night for Adam Cole at Double Or Nothing as well as he bested Samoa Joe to win the inaugural men’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament. After his bout, Cole was able to celebrate with his girlfriend Dr. Britt Baker DMD as she completed the double for the couple winning the women’s Owen Hart Foundation tournament with a win over Ruby Soho.
With an eye to a huge episode of AEW Dynamite taking place in The Kia Forum as the company makes its Los Angeles debut, a massive ten-man tag team match was announced for the show. AEW Tag Team Champions Jurassic Express were due to team with Christian Cage and The Hardys to face the Undisputed Elite team of Adam Cole, reDRagon, and The Young Bucks.
AEW has since taken to social media to confirm that both Jeff Hardy and Adam Cole now won’t compete in the match, making it an eight-man tag team bout between the remaining participants. No reason has officially been given for Cole and Hardy being removed from the match.
