JBL Names The Current WWE Star He'd Love To Face In A Final Match

WWE Hall of Famer JBL has revealed which current wrestling star he’d choose for a hypothetical final match in the ring.

Speaking on the Something to Wrestle podcast, Bradshaw expressed his admiration for Undisputed WWE Champion Cody Rhodes and explained why Rhodes would be his ideal opponent.

“Cody Rhodes, no doubt about it. He’s the guy, he’s the face of the company, but also the size difference. I worked really well with guys that I had a size advantage to, I understood that very well.”

At 6’6” and weighing 280 pounds, Bradshaw’s imposing size made him a standout performer during his career, particularly in matches where his size created a dynamic contrast. Reflecting on his past opponents, he noted that he thrived in matches against smaller competitors, as well as the rare instances when he faced off with larger wrestlers like The Undertaker, Kane, and Big Show.

“I worked really well with guys that I had a size advantage to, I understood that very well. I also worked, I thought, pretty well with guys that I had a size advantage with…but you had the Big Show, you had Undertaker and Kane, and you had some guys like that I really enjoyed working with. But Cody Rhodes, I mean, that would be so fun. I think so much of Cody, loved Cody since the JBL and Cole Show, and I think it’d be a lot of fun to work with Cody.”

Which WWE Hall Of Famer Does JBL Think Was “On A Different Level To Everybody Else”?

JBL spoke about how he believed that a fellow Hall of Famer was on a completely different level in terms of ability than all the other wrestlers in the locker room, and named the late Eddie Guerrero. Bradshaw said that Guerrero’s ability in the ring and on the microphone made him an excellent performer, but what made him in a different class to everyone else, was his ability to have great matches with any wrestler he was in the ring with.
